Rules Governing Use of Sire and Dam Listing

Hi, and thanks for your interest in Loro Verde's Sire and Broodmare Listing. I do hope you find those perfect parents!

Please read the following carefully:

For those chestnut or black models bred directly from real non-chestnut or non-black horses, ancestral colors have been closely researched, and all care has been taken to assure that a chestnut or black was indeed a possibility from the real horse cross.
Please note that we do have a few BSO horses listed. These are noted as such in their write-ups. All horses not specifically designated as BSO can be assumed to have model bodies. BSO foal breedings are accepted!
All of our horses are aging and we prefer that you breed aging foals.
Our mares are limited to one "natural born" foal per year, and may not produce twins.
All Arabian horses have at least five generation pedigrees, most have far more. Our certificates show only five.
Standard abbreviations used are:

* (asterisk) - imported
[m] or [m, horse x mare] indicates horse is a model, (and its parents.)
[r] or [r, horse x mare] indicates horse is real, (and its parents.)
NR indicates a naming requirement
Rules of color genetics should be strictly followed. For simplicity's sake, make certain that at least one parent is the same color as your foal, except in the case of blacks and chestnuts. Please make certain that both these foals' parents are stated as being able to produce black or chestnut foals. Also, none of our grey horses are homozygous grey, therefore you may breed two greys together for a solid foal - just make certain that the color of your foal is possible from the parents' born-color.
We reserve the right to refuse a breeding for any reason. Most often this will be due to previously-used mare open years, improper color genetics, or undesireable crosses. We will always suggest alternate breedings in the case of refusals.
Each foal will receive a Loro Verde Herdbook Identification/Registration number. These should be kept to verify permission to use my horses for your foal. They should not be used in advertising, (although you may advertise that you have them!) nor should they go on your sire/dam lists. Thanks!
We always enjoy receiving photos of your foals! In the case of foals that are being shown, raced and/or bred, we do appreciate occasional updates to add to our records. Thanks!
All foals must be named according to current real AHR rules. (Up to three words, no more than 17 letters, spaces or dashes. ( - ) Roman and Arabic numerals, the words Sr. or Jr. and inflamatory words/phrases are strictly prohibited.) We reserve the right to all "Ibn" and "Bint" names, such as Ibn Fa Deen. The exceptions to this are in the case where an original name is followed by "Ibn X" or "Bint X" as in "Blacky Ibn FaDeen."
To request a breeding, send the following minimum info on the foal and other parent (if not owned by Loro Verde):
- Name
- Breed
- Sire requested
- Dam requested
- Foaling year requested
- Color
- Markings
- Sex of foal
- What mold
  (please use common, original mold names! I'm just not up on all the new names some companies are issuing for all the newer pieces!)
- Whether OF, CM, OS or resin, artist - if known and applicable, or if BSO
- Stable name, owner, address, and email address (if existent) of other parent (if applicable.)
- Your name and address
- Please send two alternate foaling dates, in case the year you request has already been used.
Effective June 30, 1999, all breedings MUST be done via snail mail. Fees are 25¢ per foal and you will receive a nice paper certificate/pedigree chart. Email me for my snail mail address.

Breeding requests which do not contain all required information will be REFUSED until full information is provided.
